About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

TA is a one-year programme designed to develop graduates who prepare for teaching principally in Maori Medium settings. Graduates will be exemplary models of Maori Medium education grounded in who they are and highly competent te reo Maori educators who can apply and transform the theories, principles, pedagogies, philosophies, values and content of marautanga Maori into professional experiences relevant to their communities now and in the future. TA enables graduates to be certificated as a kaiako in Aotearoa New Zealand through Matatu Aotearoa.
