What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification is intended for learners of English as an additional language who wish to develop their English language proficiency to pursue academic study requiring a high level of English language competency.
Graduates will have the language skills required to communicate independently and effectively in a wide range of academic situations with fluency and flexibility.
This qualification allows educational institutions and professional bodies to recognise the level at which the graduate can use English for academic purposes.

Minimum requirements
For this programme, you will need the following: 1. Be at least 16 years old by the time the programme begins 2. Hold a New Zealand Certificate in English Language (Academic) (Level 4); or 3. Achieve an appropriate score on our English Language Placement Test; or Sufficient evidence to be eligible for special or discretionary admission.
