What can I expect out of this qualification?
The aim of this programme is to provide a pathway for registered nurses to demonstrate competence for the Nurse Practitioner scope of practice in order to apply to NCNZ to become a Nurse Practitioner. The target market is registered nurses who are supported in their employment to become a nurse practitioner.

Minimum requirements
Academic Requirements B average for courses in the Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Practice (Registered Nurse Prescribing). Additional Requirements Interview is required for students who intend completing a Master of Nursing in order to become a Nurse Practitioner. Applicants must be a New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate. Applicants must have employer support for their education leading towards the Nurse Practitioner scope of practice English Requirements * IELTS 6.5 Academic (no lower than 6.5 in any subtest)
