About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The Postgraduate Diploma is aimed at students who have completed the Bachelor of Musculoskeletal Health and will:
Produce graduates with osteopathic professional competencies including the clinical and critical thinking skills to be in demand in the labour market and be successful in osteopathic practices.
Meet the needs of international partners by delivering a Postgraduate diploma level qualification, whose graduates can take up opportunities in overseas jurisdictions (e.g. Australia and East Asia).
Allow graduates to gain entrance to the osteopathic register with a qualification pathway that articulates with the Vocational and Extended Scope of Practice.
Enable graduates to enhance the osteopathy industry through acquisition of cultural knowledge and understanding of the New Zealand healthcare system.

Entry Requirements Academic Requirements Bachelor of Musculoskeletal Health. Alternative Requirements If you do not hold the Bachelor of Musculoskeletal Health you may: provide evidence of having completed a relevant professional qualification; and provide evidence of successful completion of a relevant qualification or programme of study which is equivalent to those of first degree graduates, through the submission of a portfolio of evidence. If your undergraduate degree is not assessed as meeting the full requirements for this programme, enrolment in transitional or undergraduate courses may be required before admission to this programme.
