About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The BSJS will equip students with knowledge and skills to critically understand and address a range of pressing social injustices and inequities facing Aotearoa, New Zealand, Te Moana-nui-a-Kiwa and beyond. They will be able to apply their knowledge in real-world settings, work in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders and further develop the collaborative, forward-looking, action-oriented skills required for the 21st-century workforce. It will prepare for a variety of dynamic careers in iwi and community development, non-profit organisations, education and social enterprises; and to undertake further study for professional qualification in areas such as social work, teaching, law and business, politics, public policy and consultancy.
