Entry requirements

Learners will apply for a place on the course through the MAST Academy office. Although there are no educational pre-requisite requirements to entry, learners must be able to manage study at Level 3. It is also preferred that learners are employed in the marine industry.

Entry requirements:
* Minimum of 16 years of age
* New Zealand Citizen or Resident
English language requirements:
Applicants whose first language is not English, is required to provide any of the following:
* Evidence of successful completion of at least five years of secondary education from a country where the student was taught using English as the medium of instruction.
* Successful completion of vocational certificate or diploma, of which the medium of instruction is taught in English
* IELTS at least 5.0 overall score or equivalent

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this micro-credential is to equip learners with the skills and knowledge necessary for producing boat trailers in the marine industry. It is designed primarily for school leavers and new entrants to the field. Additionally, it offers those who have been working in the industry for some time an opportunity to obtain a formal award.
