What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to apply introductory theoretical and practical knowledge and skills
in Tātai Whetū, including Matariki, Puanga, and maramataka from a te Ao Māori worldview.
The qualification meets the need of iwi, Māori and Aotearoa communities who are wanting to grow
capability in understanding our history and traditions of Tātai Whetū and its connection to the hauora
(health and wellbeing) of people and te taiao (environment).
Graduates will be able to apply the knowledge gained regarding Tātai Whetū within their whānau,
hapū, marae, iwi, and/or hapori (communities).
