Entry requirements
To be admitted to this micro-credential, all applicants must be at least 16 years of age on the date of the micro-credential commencement for the intake in which they wish to enrol (or provide a completed Early Release Exemption form) and meet one of the following
requirements:
Achievement of NCEA Level 2, including 8 Literacy credits at Level 2 or above and 14 Numeracy credits at Level 1 or above
Or
Successful completion of an approved qualification at Level 3 or above
Or
An equivalent of the above
AND
Be employed in the Energy Sector
Special and Discretionary admission
Special and Discretionary admission options are also available as outlined in Section 2.9 of Te Kawa Maiorooro | Educational Regulatory Framework
In assessing whether to grant special or discretionary admission, the primary focus will be on the applicant's ability to demonstrate a likelihood of succeeding in the micro-credential.
All decisions will be made at the discretion of a Programme Committee or delegate.

This micro-credential aims to develop competencies in team motivation and conflict resolution strategies to support team management and conflict resolution approaches in the Energy sector. By fostering a deeper understanding of these strategies, ākonga can apply this knowledge to lead their teams through challenges, improve productivity, and create a positive workplace culture.
This micro-credential will equip ākonga in the energy sector with essential skills in team management and conflict resolution. As the industry navigates complex challenges such as regulatory changes, technological advancements, and environmental sustainability, effective teamwork and resolving conflicts are critical to fostering development and contributing to organisational success.
