Entry requirements
General Admission
All applicants must have at least one of the following requirements:
* Be registered teachers in New Zealand and have a current practicing certification.
* Hold a current Limited Authority to Teach (LAT) documentation
AND
Currently employed in a school/ kura in Aotearoa, New Zealand
Special and Discretionary Admission
Applicants who have attained the age of 20 years on or before the first day of the course in which study for the micro-credential is to commence and who do not meet the general admission requirements stated above and who believe that they have the level of preparedness for study at this level may apply for special admission.
In assessing whether to grant special admission, the primary focus will be on applicants with a current Limited Authority to Teach documentation.
All decisions will be at the discretion of the Relevant Academic Authority.
Language requirements
All applicants (international and domestic) for whom English, te reo Māori, or New Zealand sign language is not a first language will need to provide evidence that they have the necessary English language proficiency required for the micro-credential.
International applicants are required to demonstrate capability in English as evidenced by an IELTS General or Academic score of 6.0 with no individual band lower than 5.5 from a single test taken in the preceding two years or an equivalent described in NZQA Rules.
