The Micro-credential is open to learners placed at Te Poutama Arahi Rangatahi for treatment.
It is possible that the micro credential may be made available to other services supported by Barnardos after the initial review period.
About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
Learners completing this micro-credential will develop their own cultural awareness as it applies within various settings including the workplace. They will demonstrate an understanding of a Māori world view, it's origin and how this view influences one's experiences. Learners will consider a Māori world view in relation to personal and community wellbeing . Learners will take action within a community setting to implement an activity that enhances the wellbeing of themselves and others . Upon achievement of this micro-credential, learners will have demonstrated an ability to plan, implement and evaluate an activity/event with consideration to outcomes including those relating to diversity and inclusion.
