Entry requirements
To enter this micro-credential, tauira must:
- Hold a qualification at level 7, or
- Have a minimum of 3 years' experience working within a service profession
- Be a New Zealand citizen (which includes citizens of Cook Island, Niue and Tokelau)
- Be a New Zealand resident currently living in New Zealand
- Be an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident, currently residing in New Zealand.

What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this micro-credential is to equip kaimahi in Aotearoa New Zealand working in service professions with key leadership skills. The focus of this micro-credential is for leaders, or potential leaders, to gain the skills and knowledge to critically analyse and apply the principles of rangatiratanga, kāwanatanga, wairuatanga and mana tangata in order to be an effective leader and achieve successful outcomes for stakeholders in a specific community of practice.
There is emphasis on reflective practice and reflecting on how understanding concepts from a te ao Māori worldview impact on one's own practice. Finally, the overarching intent of this micro-credential is for leaders in service professions to empower tangata whenua to achieve success as Māori and tangata Tiriti to achieve success as Treaty partners through understanding and recognising te ao Māori as it operates in Aotearoa.
