Entry requirements
All applicants must be: - at least 16 years of age; and - employed in an automotive position or a role that is leading to a Tyre Technician position where that role enables evidence gathering for the assessment tasks as detailed in the micro-credential. Ākonga are required to have the support of their employer and the workplace must meet approved training capacity requirements. A literacy and numeracy assessment will be completed prior to micro-credential commencement. Should any support requirements be identified at this stage, entry will be reviewed, and a support plan will be developed and implemented if required. This work-based programme is not available to International Students.

What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of tyre technician foundation skills is to build a foundation of comprehensive understanding and application of key work habits, safety practices and customer service skills for the automotive industry.
