* Physically fit and able to carry out the tasks relevant to the security industry
* Interview to ensure the student can complete the Level 3 micro-credential (this includes discussion about their physical capabilities and limitations to address any identified gaps)
* Students must declare if they have any criminal convictions.
About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this micro-credential is to support graduates aged 16 years+ into sustainable and long-term career opportunities in the security industry. They will gain fundamental skills in understanding the fundamentals of conflict management, applying conflict resolution techniques and demonstrating knowledge of security industry standards and practices.
The micro-credential is designed to develop the skills and abilities of individuals wanting to pursue a career in the security industry, allowing students to gain the necessary skills and training so that they can attain licenses and certificates of approval.
It provides a pathway for learners to pursue further studies in Certificate in Security at Level 3 and Level 4. Students can also progress further into their employment pathway to work as security guards, VIP protection security personnel, patrol officers etc.
