Entry requirements

* Applicants must hold unit standard 23229 Use safety harness system when working at height or demonstrate equivalent skills and knowledge.
* Applicants should have a suitable level of physical and mental fitness to actively participate in and complete the micro-credential.
* Prior to course commencement, learners will be asked to complete a medical declaration form.
* If the learner is not currently employed in a work-at-height sector, the learner must advise at the time of enrollment so that Heads Up Training can organize practical training either at the Heads Up Training site or at another employer's site with which Heads Up is associated.

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The aim of the "Rescue from a Fall" micro-credential is to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to safely perform rescues of individuals who have fallen from height. This includes identifying hazards associated with falls from height, evaluating and preparing emergency rescue plans, and executing rescues using hauling and lowering systems. The micro-credential is designed to ensure that individuals are competent in conducting rescues in various scenarios, thereby enhancing workplace safety and compliance with health and safety regulations.
