About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The Emerging Literacy and Numeracy micro-credential aims to enable ākonga who require specialist support to learn, to work in a highly structured context to develop and apply literacy and numeracy knowledge, skills and attributes in familiar everyday situations.

The additional skills, knowledge and attributes will enhance their communication, active participation and problem-solving skills and build confidence in completing simple tasks allowing them to pathway into supported employment roles and/or undertake further learning. They will participate more fully in their communities and workplaces.
