What can I expect out of this qualification?

The aim of this micro-credential is to provide students with the skills to examine and apply suitable methodologies to manage all phases of a project life cycle, in the context of IT, relevant to the project requirements and to utilise project management tools, processes, and techniques, including agile methods, to support planning, scheduling, and estimation.

The target learner market will be both international and domestic students. These will be mainly people already in employment who are required to upskill, or who want to change their career in the direction of Project Management in the context of Information Technology. In addition, learners with no work experience will benefit from engaging with a range of methodologies and tools used in managing a project effectively.

Minimum requirements

The entry requirements for this micro-credential are: Academic Entry Requirements: There are no compulsory academic entry requirements. However, it is recommended that learners enrolling for this microcredential have basic IT knowledge and skills. English Language Entry Requirements: Learners whose first language is not English must provide evidence of competency in English language equivalent to IELTS Academic score of 6 with no band score lower than 5.5.
