About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

This micro credential introduces students/employees to basic human anatomy and physiology in the context of health and wellbeing for support and care. Students will be able to understand the function of human anatomy and physiology within a framework of health and wellness in Aotearoa New Zealand.

The target student market for this micro-credential will be primarily for students, whether domestic or international [onshore], who:
- have limited work experience with healthcare support in the New Zealand healthcare sector, or
- have related experience, or
- are interested to study medicine/healthcare, or
- are planning to pursue healthcare career.

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirements

Academic Entry Requirements: There are no compulsory academic entry requirements. English Language Entry Requirements: Students whose first language is not English must provide evidence of competency in English language equivalent to IELTS General or Academic score of 5.5, or equivalent. This is subject to NZQA Rule 18, details of which can be found at: http://www.nzqa.govt.nz/about-us/our-role/legislation/nzqa-rules/nzqf-relatedrules/the -table/ International (onshore) students require a valid visa and insurance to study on the programme. There are no mandatory prerequisites for entry to this qualification.
