Entry requirements

To ensure students' success in this course, the following entry requirements will apply:
All applicants must have achieved:
? Unit standard 4098 Use standards to assess candidate performance' OR
? Unit standard 30421 'Carry out assessments against standards to make judgements of learner performance' OR
? New Zealand Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching (level 4).

In addition to the above requirements:
? International [onshore]?applicants must hold the relevant valid visa to visit, study and/or work in New Zealand. Check the New Zealand Immigration website for further details.
? International [onshore]?applicants?must have proof that, within the?last 2 years, they have gained English language skills equivalent to IELTS level 5.5 with no band?score?lower than 5.

About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The aim of this micro-credential is to provide students with the opportunity to create assessment activities and obtain and utilise feedback. Students will also gain knowledge and skills in post- and pre-assessment moderation. and internal and external moderation.

The target learner market will be both international [onshore] and domestic students. These will be people who need to obtain US11552 and US11551 to be able to design assessments for learners in work-based learning [such as supervisors] or in educational settings [such as tutors], and who need to be able to moderate assessments used by education providers and in workplaces.
