What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification provides the engineering and manufacturing industries with individuals who have attained the knowledge, understanding, and practical skills required to safely and effectively carry out basic welding tasks.
The qualification has been designed for individuals who are interested in a career in welding and intend to enter the industry, and individuals already in the industry.
Graduates will be capable of safely performing a defined range of welding tasks, under limited supervision.

Minimum requirements
Entry requirements * Applicants must be 16 years or older. * Applicants must have numeracy and literacy abilities to read, write, comprehend text and make simple calculations. * Applicants must be physically capable of completing workshop activities including lifting, working in confined spaces or heights. * International students or other students for whom English is a second language must have an IELTS general or academic score of 5.0 with no band less than 5.0 or equivalent.
