What can I expect out of this qualification?

This qualification is for people who wish to work as a Māori Warden with individuals, whānau, and the community to provide a range of supports and guidance at public and private proceedings and functions.

The purpose of this qualification is to:
- Provide graduates with a credential to recognise the achievement of a range of knowledge, skills and processes in mātauranga Māori which are able to be applied in contexts where responsibility is taken for delivering a professional level of physical or emotional support and guidance.
- Confirm standards of professional practice which provide clients with confidence in the service they receive.

Graduates of this qualification will be able to apply knowledge of Māori philosophies and practices when providing support and guidance as a Māori Warden at proceedings and functions, independently or as part of a team.
