What can I expect out of this qualification?

The aim of the Bachelor of Digital Innovation - Paetuku Auaha (Paetahi) is to provide graduates with innovative, future focused digital media, marketing and design skills that align with evolving marketing and design needs across different sectors.
The degree will promote innovative approaches to marketing and design trends and technologies within the digital media landscape and help students grow through collaboration and creativity.

Through research, collaboration and theoretical and practical learning, this degree will cover digital design, marketing, advertising, entrepreneurship, growth hacking and purpose driven leadership, with the intention of producing highly employable graduates.
Graduates will exhibit reflective and innovative marketing and design thinking and solutions, and develop their existing knowledge, practical design skills and research capabilities. This qualification provides a pathway for graduates and students wishing to engage in higher level studies or pursue a career as innovators in digital media, marketing and design.

Minimum requirements

Applicants must fulfil the following requirements for general admission into the Bachelor of Digital Innovation - Paetuku Auaha (Paetahi) degree: - NCEA University Entrance or equivalent CIE/IB grades or; - an appropriate qualification from an overseas secondary school or tertiary institution, deemed by the college to be sufficient for admission into a bachelor programme, or; - have successfully completed a level 4 or higher qualification in a related field. Students who have English as a second language must demonstrate a level of English language competency equivalent to IELTS 6.0 (Academic) with no band less than 5.5 achieved in the past two years in the one examination event. Applicants who enrol in the online programme will need access to a computer with prescribed basic hardware requirements as per marketing material, a microphone, and a reliable internet connection. To apply for special admission into the Bachelor of Digital Innovation - Paetuku Auaha (Paetahi) applicants must: - be a New Zealand resident or permanent resident, and - have 2 years' relevant work experience and skills in digital media/technology or similar as evidenced by a professional portfolio and/or documented industry experience
