Graduates of this qualification are not qualified to carry out plumbing or drainage work that requires a consent under the Building Act 2004. Consented work must be carried out by a plumber or drainlayer.

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide the infrastructure industry with people who have the knowledge and skills to install water, wastewater, or stormwater pipes into the distribution network.

Graduates will be able to use trenched methodology and technology to safely complete the pipe installation component of the pipeline construction process.
