What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the plastics processing industry with people who have the skills and knowledge required to manage, optimise, and maintain the processing of plastics in a plastics processing operation.
This qualification is designed for people already working in the plastics processing industry. Graduates will be able to work under broad guidance and may have some responsibility for the performance of others.
The qualification includes strands in Blown Film Extrusion, Extrusion, Extrusion Blow Moulding, Injection Moulding, Injection Stretch Blow Moulding and Rotational Moulding. Each strand recognises the knowledge and skills required to operate and manage plant and equipment safely within a specialised area within plastics processing.
