What can I expect out of this qualification?

This micro-credential is designed to recognise the foundation skills and knowledge required for further training in the motor industry, and to provide students with the opportunity to gain exposure to career opportunities in the automotive industry.

The StartUp(r) Ignition micro-credential offers secondary school students learning opportunities in the automotive industry with credits towards NCEA and an introduction to the workplace. Supported by MITO and in partnership with secondary schools and local businesses, StartUp(r) has both theory eLearning and practical learning in an automotive workshop.

This micro-credential leads to the StartUp(r) Accelerate - Automotive Engineering Micro-credential or the StartUp(r) Accelerate - Collision Repair and Refinishing Micro-credential.
