About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide the infrastructure industry with people who have relevant knowledge and skills that can be applied to a range of standard infrastructure works processes. It is the cornerstone qualification for those graduates wanting to move into an infrastructure career pathway.

Graduates of this qualification are able to carry out infrastructure works operations safely and to a quality standard in a variety of infrastructure works contexts.

Graduates of the optional strand in Plant Operation are also able to safely and effectively operate plant for infrastructure works.

All graduates will be capable of working under limited supervision.

Minimum requirements

Applicants must have: * The physical ability to work on an infrastructure works site where heavy lifting and strenuous physical activity may be required. This will be established through pre course notification and a pre enrolment interview. * Be working on an infrastructure worksite * Have access to required plant, machinery, and tools * A full driver licence Suitability to meet the above pre requisites will be established at the pre enrolment interview with the Learner and the Employer. The programme requires the Learner to hold a Class 1 driver's licence as an entry criterion.
