About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification will provide Aotearoa New Zealand, the exercise industry, clients and the community with graduates who have the skills and knowledge of exercise prescription across a variety of exercise environments.
Graduates will be able to design and deliver advanced technical and personalised exercise programmes. They will have broad operational, theoretical and practical knowledge of exercise processes and self-manage their own promotion and performance.
Graduates will operate within a framework of health and wellness in relation to individual, group or community needs and can apply their skills to contribute to the cultural, social, and economic wellbeing of Aotearoa New Zealand.
Graduates will be eligible to register with the New Zealand Register of Exercise Professionals.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Applicants can gain entry to this programme by meeting one of the following criteria: a) Based on study completed at a New Zealand tertiary institution: i. the New Zealand Certificate in Exercise (Level 4) (Ref. 3563); or ii. an equivalent qualification; or b) Based on equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
