What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification provides the automotive electrical engineering industry with individuals who can work independently and have attained the knowledge and skills required to safely and effectively diagnose and repair electrical and electronic faults in a range of vehicles or machines.
The qualification has been designed for individuals who are beginning a career as an automotive electrical technician.
Graduates of this qualification can work independently and may take some responsibility for monitoring the workplace.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Learners must be eligible to undertake industry training organised through MITO, and must be employed in an automotive workshop in a role which enables them to meet the graduate outcomes of the qualification. Entry is subject to the approval of MITO. This will be determined on the basis of discussion between MITO, the employer and the learner.
