What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification is designed to provide the beauty sector with therapists who have the skills and knowledge to analyse, plan and provide a broad range of beauty services.
This qualification is intended for learners who have little or no prior learning or experience in beauty services.
The beauty sector will benefit by having beauty therapists with the skills and knowledge to competently provide a range of beauty services.
Graduates will be capable of working under broad guidance with a degree of self-management in a beauty therapy context.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
NZ3443 New Zealand Certificate in Make Up and Skincare (Level 3) OR, DOM L4.1 - All applicants must have NCEA Level 2 with passes in English/Te Reo Maori or education achievement at least equivalent to NCEA Level 2 OR, Evidence of ability to complete academic requirements. DOM L4.2 - For domestic applicants for whom English is not their first language evidence of language competency may be required. International applicants for whom English is not their first language must provide evidence of the following: An IELTS General or Academic score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5 or completed NZ Certificate in English Language (Level 4), or meets a relevant English Proficiency Outcome as outlined in NZQF related Rules (Rule 18) The Table.
