What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification is intended for learners who are seeking to develop a range of essential skills and knowledge in the skin care, beauty and related industries.
These sectors will benefit by having access to graduates with the skills and knowledge to competently and safely undertake a range of essential skin care and make-up services within workplaces where skin care, make-up and other cosmetics products are applied and sold.
Graduates of this qualification will have developed practical application of knowledge and skills in preparation for further study but will also be capable of working with initial supervision in a skin care and beauty context.

Minimum requirements
This programme is intended for recent school leavers who are 16 to 19 years old at the commencement of study. Students as young as 15 can also apply with a letter of exemption from the Ministry of Education. All candidates attend an interview to determine suitability for the programme.
