What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification provides the automotive industry with individuals who can service general automotive systems.
The qualification is designed for people who are beginning a career in the automotive industry or people intending to enter the industry.
Graduates will benefit by having a qualification which recognises the skills and knowledge in the automotive industry that support improved job performance and enhance future learning and employment opportunities.
Graduates of this qualification will be able to work in entry-level positions under limited supervision.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Open to students 16 years of age or older (15 years with an MOE exemption will be considered), meet the NZ citizen/permanent residency requirements, meet the entry requirements NCEA level 1 numeracy and literacy based subjects or equivalent G&H assessment. All students will be interviewed to determine the level of interest in the automotive industry and programme suitability.
