What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification provides the automotive industry with individuals who can service general automotive systems.
The qualification is designed for people who are beginning a career in the automotive industry or people intending to enter the industry.
Graduates will benefit by having a qualification which recognises the skills and knowledge in the automotive industry that support improved job performance and enhance future learning and employment opportunities.
Graduates of this qualification will be able to work in entry-level positions under limited supervision.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
10 credits in each literacy (reading an writing) and numeracy at NCEA Level 1 or be able to demonstrate suitable knowledge and skills. Domestic applicants aged 20 years or above who do not meet the academic entry requirements, but who can demonstrate their skills, education and/or work experiences, may be eligible for special admission. ITELS General or Academic score of 5 with no band score lower than 5.
