What can I expect out of this qualification?

This qualification is for people who want to develop more of an understanding of tikanga within a specialist field founded on a Māori worldview.
Graduates of this qualification will have more knowledge and skills to support and participate in the practice of tikanga under guided supervision.
Graduates of this qualification will be able to apply knowledge fundamental to tikanga practices across the community in general.

Minimum requirements

Academic: Te Pokaitahi Tikanga (Matauranga Maori) (Te Kaupae 2) or equivalent English Language: All applicants must have a level of English sufficient to be able to study at this level. Those students, whose first language is not English, are required to demonstrate an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall academic score of at least 5.0 issued within the last two years (or equivalent).
