What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the aeronautical engineering industry with graduates equipped with a comprehensive base of core aeronautical engineering skills and knowledge.
This qualification is intended for learners who are planning to embark on a career in the aviation industry as an aeronautical engineer.
Graduates of this qualification will be able to work safely in an aeronautical engineering context, to carry out engineering tasks under direct supervision.

Minimum requirements
Academic requirements: Applicants under 20 years old Achieved NCEA Level 2 with credits in each of the following Domains-Numeracy (Maths), Science (Physics), Literacy (English) Applicants 20 years or over Achieved NCEA Level 2 with credits in Numeracy (Maths), Science (Physics), Literacy (English) OR Relevant work experience and/or equivalent academic achievement English Language: All applicants must have a level of English sufficient to be able to study at this level. Those applicants whose first language is not English should have an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall Academic score of at least 5.5 (with at least 5.0 in each component) issued within the last two years (or equivalent).
