What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide people with the skills, capabilities, knowledge and attributes needed to progress and succeed in their field of study or employment pathway.
This qualification is for people intending to pursue further qualifications in their chosen field of study or employment pathway at New Zealand Qualifications Framework Level 4 or above.
The qualification acknowledges the primacy of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in programme design and delivery.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
To enrol in this qualification it is expected that learners must: * hold a full Class 1 New Zealand drivers license for the mandatory NZTA period (3 or 6 months). * will have existing knowledge and skills in numeracy and literacy at a level that is appropriate to succeeding on this Level 3 programme. Literacy and numeracy will be assessed prior to commencement To obtain a full Class 2 license, learners must (1) present a medical certificate, (2) hold a Class 2 learners license and pass an approved training course for progression to a Class 2 full license. This will be achieved as part of the programme structure. This qualification programme replicates the physical requirements expected of a heavy Transport driver in industry.
