What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide people with the academic skills, capabilities, knowledge and attributes needed to prepare for higher level education or employment.

This qualification is for people intending to pursue further qualifications in their chosen field of study or employment pathway at New Zealand Qualifications Framework Level 5 or above.

The qualification acknowledges the primacy of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in programme design and delivery.

Minimum requirements

In order to be admitted to the NZ Cert in Study & Career Prep L4 the applicant must have one of the following: NCEA Level 2 (or equivalent); A Level 3 industry-specific qualification Where English is a second language, applicants must meet the Academic IELTS, overall band of 5.5 (or equivalent), with no band score under 5.0, before enrolment.
