What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide people with the academic skills, capabilities, knowledge and attributes needed to prepare for higher level education or employment.

This qualification is for people intending to pursue further qualifications in their chosen field of study or employment pathway at New Zealand Qualifications Framework Level 5 or above.

The qualification acknowledges the primacy of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in programme design and delivery.

Minimum requirements

Domestic Students must have NCEA Level 1 be 18 years of age at the time of study. All Applicants must be fit and able to carry out the physical requirements of the welding industry. Applicants should have a desire to pathway onto further study or start a career. International Students: IELTS of 5.5 bands with no band score lower than 5.0
