What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification is intended for practitioners seeking to advanced practical, technical, and theoretical knowledge as well as in-depth practice consistent with tikanga and reo in Ngā Toi.
Graduates of this qualification will contribute to Aotearoa as practitioners able to manage and take responsibility for their own learning. Graduates will also be able to manage Ngā Toi projects and will be capable of working independently.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Applicants seeking to enroll must meet the admission and eligibility criteria of Te Wananga Whare Tapere o Takitimu. The admission criteria include: a) An audition designed to assess health, fitness, performance disposition and capability; b) At least three written or where appropriate, oral character references; c) A formal interview. Level 6 Diploma - New Zealand Qualification Framework Applicants that are 18 years or older at enrollment, and; a) demonstrated suitability and capability in Maori Performance, or Maori Art Forms at Level 6; and, b) a Level 5 diploma in Maori Performing Arts or in general Performing Arts; and, c) demonstrated commitment to uphold the kaupapa of Takitimu; and, d) have provided a performance portfolio demonstrating evidence of creative practice and process; and, e) have provided a curriculum vitae outlining educational and employment achievements.
