What can I expect out of this qualification?

This qualification is intended for practitioners seeking to broaden practical, technical, and theoretical knowledge, consistent with tikanga and reo in Ngā Toi.
Graduates of this qualification will contribute to Aotearoa as practitioners of Ngā Toi within defined contexts able to complete projects and assist in the protection and enhancement of Ngā Toi.

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirements

Academic requirements: EITHER * NZ2791 Ka Tipu te Whaihanga New Zealand Certificate in Nga Toi Level 4 (or equivalent qualification) OR * life skills and/or work experience demonstrating equivalent ability/experience English language requirements: Applicants from countries where English is not the primary spoken language must have demonstrated an acceptable level of English language fluency prior to acceptance in the programme. Ways in which English language fluency may be demonstrated include successful study of a programme in which English was the language of instruction (conditions apply), completion of a New Zealand Certificate in English Language (Level 3 with any endorsement), approved scores on IELTS tests (Academic score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5), or completion of an accepted international equivalent. Other requirements: Success in an interview and submission of an art portfolio.
