About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the health sector industry and massage therapy profession with people who can provide wellness and relaxation massage services.
Graduates will be able to work within the Massage New Zealand Scope of Practice Wellness and Relaxation Massage.
Graduates will communicate with and refer to remedial massage therapists, allied health professionals, wellness and medical professionals for those specialist services.
Graduates will be capable of working independently.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Relevant regulations: 2.1.1 Admission to the programme shall be subject to the approval of the Academic Board of the South Pacific College of Natural Medicine. 2.1.2 Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the commencement of the programme. 2.1.3 English requirements All applicants will be required to undertake a basic English communication task during the application process. For domestic students for whom English is a second language, applicants must meet the Academic IELTS, overall band of 6.5 (or equivalent), with no band score under 6.0, before enrolment. Equivalence may take the form of a TOEFL Certificate, or proof of primary and secondary schooling through the medium of English. 2.1.4 Textbook and Equipment requirements All students must purchase the required textbooks and specified equipment for massage practice.
