About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide the land based primary industries with individuals who have attained the skills and knowledge to develop and manage sustainable practices to comply with a recognised production standard.
- Graduates will benefit by having a qualification that recognises progression through the primary industry and will be able to implement sustainable practices for the long-term benefit of communities and the environment.
- Graduates will be able to work in a self-managed capacity, and may have some responsibility for the performance of others.

Minimum requirements

The entry for the programme is governed by the following criteria: * Applicant's suitability and/or eligibility for the programme applied for. * Entry to the programme shall be open to all who meet the programme entry criteria. Domestic applicants must be aged 18 and over; and have completed the New Zealand Certificate in Horticulture (Level 3) or equivalent. All applicants will be interviewed to consider the application for the enrolment. Acceptance will be determined at the discretion of the interviewer.
