What can I expect out of this qualification?

This qualification is for ākonga/learners who are seeking to develop a range of introductory technical skills and conceptual knowledge in digital media and design contexts.

Graduates of this qualification will have developed the practical application of knowledge and skills in preparation for further study.

Graduates will be able to operate under limited supervision.

Minimum requirements

Applicants shld demonstrate an ability to succeed in tertiary study, shown by the completion of any of the following quals or crses of study: NCEA Lv1. Demonstrated knowledge in Computing and/or Technology sub fields. Applicants who do not meet academic criteria above may be admitted if they are able to demonstrate: Equivalent knowledge & skills; and/or previous & relevant life skills or wrk experience; and/or other formal or informal study such as to suggest likelihood of successful programme completion. Applicants who seek entry under the above entry criteria may be required to attend an interview or undertake a challenge assessment equivalent to academic entry. Applicants whose first language is not English are required to provide evidence of having passed such test of English language competence. All applicants must declare their colour vision status as per the "Colour Vision Declaration Form". Applicants whose first language is not English are required to provide evidence of having passed such test of English language competence as the Academic Board will from time to time approve
