What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide Aotearoa New Zealand with graduates who have attained broad, generalist understanding of Information Systems (IS) skills, and the soft skills and technical skills and knowledge to be employed in a range of IS roles.
Businesses, organisations and communities will benefit by having qualified IS professionals with skills and knowledge that will be industry relevant.
Graduates of this qualification will have the information systems skills that will enable them to contribute to society, support digital proficiency and capability in a range of community and voluntary areas, and proceed to further study.

Minimum requirements
There are no mandatory prerequisites for this qualification. Learners enrolling are recommended to hold one of the following qualifications, or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience: *NCEA Level 2 or 3 *New Zealand Certificate in Computing (Intermediate User) (Level 3) [Ref: 2592] *New Zealand Certificate in Computing (Advanced User) (Level 4) [Ref: 2593] *New Zealand Certificate in Information Technology Essentials (Level 4) [Ref: 2594] *New Zealand Certificate in Information Technology (Level 5) [Ref: 2595]
