There are no mandatory prerequisites for this qualification
There is a requirement that potential candidates have literacy and numeracy skills suitable for a level 4 qualification given that they are dealing with potentially dangerous goods. Pre-diagnostic testing of candidate's ability to read labels is recommended.

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide people who have the skills and knowledge to advise on and promote the safe and effective selection, storage, handling and use of agrichemicals to clients. Graduates will be able to supervise retail store staff in the safe handling, storage and recording of agrichemicals.

Graduates will benefit by having formal recognition of their skills and knowledge of the safe and effective utilisation of agrichemicals, and their ability to identify, interpret and provide information to clients.

The community as a whole will benefit from having graduates who are able to assist land-based enterprises with selecting agrichemicals in order to maximise productivity and the sustainable use of agrichemicals and animal health products.
