What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification is intended for people working towards or wanting to become a leader in a team within an entity. The qualification will provide Aotearoa New Zealand with people who have the skills and knowledge to contribute to effective team performance and to be effective in a leadership role within a team.
Graduates of this qualification will benefit Aotearoa New Zealand by contributing effectively to team objectives and by developing their team leadership skills. They will be able to contribute effectively to an operational team, in accordance with ngā kaupapa o te Tiriti o Waitangi (the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi), and in a multi-cultural environment.

Minimum requirements
This programme has open entry. English language requirements: If English is not your first language you may also be required to provide evidence of your English language skills as listed below. If you have no evidence of your English language skills and are a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident, contact NMIT for an assessment. IELTS 5.0 Academic (no lower than 5.0 in any subtest). For acceptable alternatives refer to the English Proficiency Outcomes Chart. Note: Students who have achieved NCEA Level 3 University Entrance requirements are not required to provide evidence of English Language Skills. Other requirements: Applicants for a workplace-based delivery of the Programme must be employed by the business entity hosting the delivery.
