About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification provides the building and construction industry with graduates who have the theoretical knowledge, skills and aptitude required to assist with all stages of construction management or quantity surveying under the supervision of an experienced practitioner. The qualification will provide employers and consumers with the confidence that construction and building projects are being effectively planned and organised with sound financial management that meets the requirements of New Zealand legislation, Codes of Practice, and New Zealand and Australian Standards.
This qualification is targeted at people intending to work as assistant construction managers or assistant quantity surveyors on construction projects, and also provides recognition of knowledge and skills for those already working in the roles.
The strands recognise the specific knowledge and skills involved in either construction management or quantity surveying.
