About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the forest industry with individuals who have the skills and knowledge required to operate at a production level in an operational role in a forest harvesting operation.
Graduates will have an understanding of safety, environmental and quality requirements of working in a forest harvesting operation. They will work under limited supervision to meet productivity requirements.
The qualification includes four strands which represent distinct activities undertaken in harvesting operations.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Open Entry. Students must be aged 16 years and over. IELTS (Academic) band score 5.5 with no band below 5.0 or equivalent. Agreement to undergo drug screening - Student Drug Free Agreement Consent. Physically fit and able to complete practical work for health and safety purposes. Completion of a Personal Health Status Declaration.
