What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the tourism industry with individuals who will be equipped to design and implement strategic business initiatives, lead diverse teams, and drive innovation.
Graduates will have specialised expertise in sustainable business development, advanced marketing strategies and operational leadership.
The qualification will benefit the community by enriching Aotearoa New Zealand's tourism visitor experiences and contributing to sustainable and regenerative tourism bringing benefits to the country.
Graduates will be able to deliver a high-quality visitor experience that reflects the cultural heritage of Aotearoa New Zealand and do so across diverse organisations in the tourism and travel industries. They will serve as mentors and leaders, fostering talent development and enhancing team performance within their organisations.

Minimum requirements
A candidate for admission to this programme of study shall: - have successfully completed the requirements for the New Zealand Diploma in Tourism and Travel (Level 5) or equivalent New Zealand qualification; or -hold an equivalent overseas qualification; or - demonstrate equivalent knowledge and skills; and - have attained the age of 17 years; and - have an English level equivalent to IELTS 6.0 (with no band less than 5.5); or - gain approval under Admission Regulation 1.3: Special Admission.
