What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the tourism, travel, or aviation industry with individuals who can support and enhance the visitor experience and use their skills and knowledge to strengthen the contribution of tourism to the New Zealand economy.
The qualification will benefit the community by enhancing the experiences of New Zealand's visitors and bringing economic benefits to the country.
Graduates of the Visitor Experience, Tourism and Travel and Aviation strands will be able to engage with, and support visitors in a variety of tourism settings relevant to the strand.

Minimum requirements
Entry to this programme is open, although preference will be given to students who have already completed a lower level qualification such as NCEA level 1 or 2, with the Service Industries VP endorsement. Selection is based upon interview and is determined by the suitability of the programme to the learner's goals.
