What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the pharmacy sector with people who carry out a wide range of advanced pharmacy dispensing services, and support the provision of safe, patient-centred healthcare, under the supervision of a pharmacist.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Applicants must: * Hold the New Zealand Certificate in Pharmacy (Pharmacy Technician- Core) (Level 4) [Ref: 1888] or an equivalent qualification, skills, or experience * Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English. Applicants who have attained the age of 20 years and do not hold the minimum entry requirements will be eligible to be enrolled where their previous educational, work or life experience indicates they have a reasonable likelihood of success. Domestic Language Entry Requirements If English or Maori is the not the applicant's first language, applicants will need an IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with no band score lower than 5.5, or equivalent. International English Language Entry Requirements International applicants will need an IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with no band score lower than 5.5, or equivalent. Other Entry Requirements Students must be currently employed in either a community or hospital pharmacy within New Zealand as a pharmacy technician for a minimum of 20 hours a week.
